PLATFORM NEWS
Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL is ready for production workloads.
For GCP users, PostgreSQL is the most requested OSS relational database. Cloud SQL automates backups, replication, and updates – and now that it's GA, it's also covered by an SLA with 99.95% availability anywhere in the world.

Expanding the GPU portfolio with NVIDIA Tesla V100 and P100.
NVIDIA Tesla V100 GPUs are now publicly available in beta on Google Compute Engine and Google Kubernetes Engine with up to one petaflop of precision hardware acceleration. And P100 GPUs offer some of the best bang-for-the-buck performance.
Cloud Composer: Build and run practical workflows with minimal effort.
Now in beta, Cloud Composer lets you author, schedule, and monitor pipelines across multi-cloud and on-premises data centers. Built on open source Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer simplifies workflow orchestration and helps you avoid vendor lock-in.

Open-sourcing gVisor, a sandboxed container runtime.
Securing containers can make them bulky – and slow. gVisor is a lightweight way, approximately 15 MB, to isolate containers at the VM level in multitenant environments.
